MAKTUB?

Do you agree with the philosophy of MAKTUB? Do you believe that it is true?
Well, my blog is on this topic, because I don't agree with the philosophy.

The merchant told him- "Maktub"
Santiago asked- "What does that mean?"
The merchant replied- " Maktub, it means, it's all written."
An extract from "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho

In the holy Quran, it's written. The Islamic religion believes in Maktub, i.e., everything which is happening, which has happened, or which will ever happen, is all written. This means, that it's all the play of destiny.
If it were so, then why do we perform our Karma? Why do we work hard to achieve our goals and dreams? Why do we work harder each day, to become better? And why after all, are we taught to do hardwork?

I don't wish to hurt anybody's religious sentiments, but I feel that a soul creates or destroys his/her luck by ownself. The soul is the God of the universe for ownself. And blaming things on the other God, which has been created by religious myths, is not fair.
Maybe, the two souls meet on a purpose. Indeed their meet is destiny, and indeed, this is MAKTUB.

Maybe, a writer finds peace in writings, and a dancer finds solace in dance. Indeed, the choice of your love for an art is destiny. And indeed, this is MAKTUB.
Maybe, my fingers embracing the pen, and my thoughts, cuddling the heart, to bring out the message for viewers is destiny. Indeed, this is MAKTUB.
Blaming our failure on bad luck is wrong. And blaming somebody's success, achieved as the fruit of utmost hardwork, on "luck-by-chance", is really rubbish. All we are supposed to do is to carry on the continuous hardwork, trust our own intuition, and believe that- ALL GOOD WILL HAPPEN WITH YOU :)
Maybe, all this what we define as Maktub, is not Maktub. But you can create your own magic, by following the omens being laid for you.

A nice motivational blog. GoodWork. But i still do think that god has already written everything. All the hardwork, all the pains and all the happiness have already been written. We're just acting on some stage where the script has already been finalised, the movie has to end the way it is meant to, we can't change anything about it.

Thanks a lot for your kind words ☺ It means a lot. And the way you consider things is totally accepted. It is your perspective and you have all the right in the world to put it forward. Your idea is that which is absolutely correct, no doubt. But my blog is on the perspective by which people blame the fate instead of doing hardwork. They roll down the baggage of their carelessness and idiocies on "MAKTUB", and I'm against that idea.

Absolutely. :) no offense taken. And I'm really thankful to you, for speaking your heart and mind out. I appreciate this a lot, because people nowadays hide away from this. True indeed, people blame it all on "their respective Gods" (isn't he supposed to one Ultimate Being?). And yes, I know that there's a supreme power controlling it all. But blaming the baggage of our failure and carelessness on the fate, is not accepted, right?
